Candlelit Yoga at Scarborough Museum
Have you ever wondered about a purpose to life beyond the mundane,
or felt out of sync with yourself, and overwhelmed with distraction
and being busy? Join Scarborough Museum and Instructor Madura
Siva-Nandakumar of Advaita Movement in taking a moment to pause in
the present.
As part of Lots of Light celebrations across Toronto History
Museums, Scarborough Museum will be hosting candle-lit yoga
sessions that will share how ancient wellness tools such as yoga
asanas, marma self-massage, pranayama and yoga nidra can help you
reconnect with your true Self, and bring out the best version of
you. Dare to take care.
Madura is a holistic health advocate and the founder of Advaita
Movement, a wellness hub that intentionally serves the community
through yoga classes, Marma massage therapy sessions, Ayurvedic
workshops and the Advaita Movement health and wellness shop. Her
vision is to one day open a holistic wellness centre accessible to
all.
Yoga sessions will be held inside one of the museum's historic
buildings; yoga mats will be provided. Please wear comfortable
clothing and bring water.
Sessions are family friendly and appropriate for all ages, however
please note that one ticket must be purchased for each participant,
including children.
Additional slots may become available - if tickets are not visible
/ sold out, please contact shm@toronto.ca or call 416 388 8807 to
determine availability and/or be added to a waitlist.
