Mindfulness Yoga at Scarborough Museum
Rest is Resistance
This May at Scarborough Museum, Reset the mind, body and spirit
with Madura Siva-Nandakumar of Advaita Movement! Join Madura for
yoga sessions on weekends and learn more about how yoga asanas,
marma self-massage, pranayama and yoga nidra can be used as tools
for healing in daily life. Make time for rest and experience the
museum from a new perspective, as a space for wellbeing and
personal growth.
Yoga mats will be provided. Please wear comfortable,
weather-appropriate clothing and bring water. Yoga sessions are
family friendly and appropriate for all ages, however please note
that one ticket must be purchased for each participant, including
children. Please note that children under 14 must be accompanied by
an adult over 18.
Yoga sessions will be held outside on the Museum's front lawn,
weather permitting - tickets guarantee a reserved indoor spot in
the event of inclement weather (i.e. rain, high winds). Additional
drop-in slots are often available for outdoor sessions - if tickets
are not visible / sold out, please contact shm@toronto.ca or call
416 388 8807 on the day of the session to determine
availability.
