Have you ever wondered about a purpose to life beyond the mundane,
or felt out of sync with yourself, and overwhelmed with distraction
and being busy? Join Scarborough Museum in taking a moment to pause
in the present. These workshops will show you how ancient wellness
tools such as yoga asanas, marma self-massage, pranayama and yoga
nidra can help you reconnect with your true Self, and bring out the
best version of you. Dare to take care.
Madura is a holistic health advocate and the founder of Advaita
Movement, a wellness hub that intentionally serves the community
through yoga classes, Marma massage therapy sessions, Ayurvedic
workshops and the Advaita Movement health and wellness shop. Her
vision is to one day open a holistic wellness centre accessible to
all.
Due to colder weather, yoga sessions will be held indoors inside
the Kennedy Gallery. Yoga mats will be provided. Please wear
comfortable clothing and bring water.
Additional slots may become available - if tickets are not visible
/ sold out, please contact shm@toronto.ca or call 416 388 8807 on
the day of the session to determine availability.
As part of Lots of Light Celebrations across Toronto History
Museums, Madura will also be hosting Candlelit Yoga sessions at
Scarborough Museum on select weekends from November through
January. Please see here for more details:
